Sometimes there is an idea that appears to generate interest within the community. To give you a bit of a recap, I was having a conversation with Steppin' Luther about the upcoming Chicago's Largest Pre Party set... "We started talking about the history of stepping and I expressed my desire to get information about the steppers scene in the 1970's when the modern era of stepping really began. we talked about  the History of Stepping Project, and as soon as I started talking about the project Luther got on the phone with Taboo, and Kim Bowie who both started overloading my mind with information about the old clubs and the legacy of the dance. We decided that we would all get together and tape this for posterity, after all these guys were all part of and lived through the birth of what is now known as Chicago Style Stepping. This could become something more than a get together"... There seems to be a bit of response from other people who were stepping "back in the day" who have shown interest in participating in the taped discussion about stepping in the days of the Dungeon, Ridgeland Club, Budland, and other places. I said in a couple of emails, I really need to wrap my head around what all needs to be done as far as the logistics are concerned. What I mean by that is I would like to get as many of the "legacy steppers" together for this and get as much information as possible in one sitting,  so I need to get an idea of how many people have interest. I would really like to reach out to steppers (and former steppers) who were around in the 70's but who may not have ever heard of the project, SteppersUSA, or don't have access to the web also.
